Foundations was the first set of cards to be released in 
Legends of Runeterra, made available initially on the on the first beta patch, first introducing 
Demacia, 
Freljord, 
Ionia, 
Noxus, 
Piltover and Zaun and 
The Shadow Isles to the game. This set was based around laying the foundations for the card game, and its basic mechanics.
