Patient and wise, Nasus was a peerless strategist and celebrated general who guided Shurima to greatness alongside his brother, Renekton. After his Ascension, he became a jackal-headed demigod, and the eternal guardian of the empire's knowledge.[2]

As Nasus' mind declined, he clung to his strongest memory--that of his brother, Renekton, urging Nasus to sacrifice him.
What kind of brother would force such a choice? Centuries of guilt, regret, torment... no brother would do such a thing, Nasus thought over and over again. It was the only thought left to him. No brother of his. No brother.
No. Nasus had no brother. Renekton would die, and then Nasus would know peace again.

- In the game matchmaking waiting screen, a note about Nasus sometimes appears: ‘Nasus, the deeply revered Curator of the Sands, works tirelessly to recover Shurima's lost tomes. According to his brother Renekton, he also secretly reads trashy romance novels before bed.’
