Trivia

• According to Riot Dovagedys, one of Katarina's initial designs did 1 damage to all other Battling units on Attack for each spell cast, presumably in combat. It was said that "We quickly realised that we probably can never make a mechanic like that", because it's too hard on the defending player.
• Katarina is the first Champion that has an increase in their mana cost when they Level Up.
• Many 3 Dauntless Vanguards are featured in her Level 2 artwork.
• 2 Katarina's Death Lotus is based on Katarina's Death Lotus.
