- Urgot is voiced by Paul M. Guyet.
- Urgot was designed by both Kevin 'Geeves' O'Brien and Siyang 'Issfire'.
- Urgot was the first champion revealed in the Journal of Justice (Issue 3: Reclaiming the Lost) before being officially announced (not counting Sejuani's token mention).
- Urgot was the first released cyborg champion, before Viktor, Camille, and recently Orianna, after lore-retconning made her a normal girl that was gradually mechanised.
- Mercy used to be the name for Talon's first innate.
Universe

- Urgot was a big person, but became enlarged by his augmentation.[1]
- While it is not explicitly said, it is commonly believed that The Voice from the Child of Zaun story is also the narrator of the Son of Ur story (the only surviving adolescent).
- There are many interpretations of the Noxian value of strength and how determine who is worthy. Urgot's unique interpretation of this is that only in the war of all against all can the worthy prove themselves and survive.[1]

- Urgot and Thresh used to be the only champions classified as ranged tanks before having their roles changes in 2013.
- Hyper-Kinetic Position Reverser and Death Sentence are the only two in-game tethered abilities without a minimum leash range.
- Urgot used to be the only champion in the game classified as a Marksman/ Tank. However, his champion classification has since been changed to Juggernaut.
- Urgot resembles a number of quadrupeds from various other games.

- Azmodan the Lord of Sin from Diablo III.
- "The Spineless Ones" from the X-Men, the best-known of them being Mojo. They are a fat alien race of rotten appearance who can not move on their own without advanced technology.

- According to Babaganoosh, Urgot was unavailable for the Ionia vs Noxus match due to being damaged and needing considerable time to be repaired. He received a major strength buff in the following patch release.

- In the V1.0.0.115 April Fools' Day patch, he was jokingly listed to receive a skin called "Urfgot", referencing Urf.

- During his second champion spotlight for his rework, David 'Phreak' Turley jokingly said that Urgot will be the next Star Guardian, a reference to a long-standing joke in the community, which partially became true with Pajama Guardian Cosplay Urgot being released for the 2020 April Fools' Day event.
- Urgot is able to kill the Enemy Target Dummies in the Practice Tool, by using Fear Beyond Death on them when they have 25% health or lower.

- His taunt to Darius ▶️ "The hand of Noxus can be cut off; ask your master." is a reference to Darius' title "the Hand of Noxus", as well as the event of Irelia cutting off Swain's left hand during the Noxian Invasion of Ionia.

- Crabgot's appearance also references Pacific Rim as his body seems to be embedded with energy (shining through his eyes, within the claws, and other small gaps), something that is prominent with Pacific Rim's Kaiju monsters compared to monsters in other Kaiju films.

- He resembles the Chaos Dreadnoughts from the Warhammer 40 000 series.
- The Pearl chroma of the skin specificially is very similar to the color scheme of the Iron Warriors Chaos Space Marines legion.
- In the Nautilus Art Spotlight, around 2:50, a tab saying Urgot Mech can be seen in the top left. This was likely the development name for Battlecast Urgot.

- During his Recall he stomps the ground, emerging some runes. He then sucks the energy out of the runes into his hand they dispensary. A small explosion happens on his hand, which is him opening portals into the ground that release evil spirits.[4]
- In his bio he's stated to have been called Jeremiah James. This name is however only canon in this skin universe.[5]
