Mana regeneration, or MP5, is a stat that determines the rate that a unit's current mana passively regenerates, measured per 5 seconds as a stat and displayed per 1 second on the HUD. Mana regeneration occurs in 0.5-second intervals and is disabled when the unit's current mana exactly equals its maximum mana.
- Mana regeneration stacks additively, and each point acquired directly adds to the statistic (1:1). This is true for both flat values and percentage values.
Every champion has a certain amount of base mana regeneration that increases through growth per level. Effects may consider base mana regeneration or bonus mana regeneration. Bonus mana regeneration can be gained from any source other than levels, for example from abilities, buffs, items, runes, and others.
Gold Value
- Flat mana regeneration has a gold value of 60 per point.
- Percentage base mana regeneration has a gold value of 5 per point.

Restoring Mana[]
Mana Restoration is similar to Mana Regeneration, in the sense that they both increase current mana. The main difference is that Mana Restoration isn't a tracked stat. Any effect that gives mana over a period of time but doesn't increase the stat labelled Mana Regeneration is considered Mana Restoration instead. The following will restore mana when triggering an effect:

- What may be the highest mana regeneration attainable on Summoner's Rift is 3620 mana per 5 seconds, with a level 18 thanks to his passive , which allows him to have the biggest mana pool in the game. All the following calculations are based on mana regeneration per 5 seconds.
- Base stats: +23 mana regeneration, +1250 mana
- Runes:
- 9 × Scaling Marks of Mana (+9 × 21.06 mana)
- 9 × Scaling Seals of Mana (+9 × 21.06 mana)
- 9 × Scaling Glyphs of Mana (+9 × 25.56 mana)
- 3 × Scaling Quintessences of Mana (+3 × 75.06 mana)
- Masteries:
- 5 points in (+15 AP)
- 5 points in 1.5% of missing mana every 5 seconds) (+
- Items:
- 6 (+6 × (1000 mana + 80 AP))
- Buffs:
- (+ 5% maximum mana) mana regeneration) (+25 flat
- 18% missing mana mana regeneration)
- mana bar. must totally empty his
(+ - (+15 flat mana regeneration, +50 AP)
- (+40 AP)
- (+36% AP)
- (+20% AP)
- Relevant mathematics:
- Items = = 6000
- Items = = 480
- Mast. & Buffs = + + = 105
AP before passive = 480 + 105 = 585
- AP multiplier = 1 + + = 1.56
- Applying the formula (see ability details)
Resultant mana = (b + 0.0005abx) / (1 - 0.000015bx)
- mana = (8084.3 + 0.0005 × 585 × 8084.3 × 1.56) / (1 - 0.000015 × 8084.3 × 1.56) = 14519.941457823 mana
- 14519.941457823 × ( + + ) + + + = 3620.385657166635 mana regeneration per 5 seconds
- That's 724.07713143333 mana regeneration per second.
