• Essence Reaver does not activate Essence Flare on champions that can shapeshift with their ultimate (e.g. Udyr, Jayce, Nidalee and Elise).

Strategy

• Because of the multitude of useful stats, champions that can make good use of all stats might purchase this item, regardless of whether or not they get use out of this items mana regeneration passive (e.g.  Renekton).
• Good examples for champions profiting from Essence Reaver are Corki, Ezreal, Miss Fortune, Lucian or Varus.

• New Recipe: B. F. Sword + Caulfield's Warhammer + Sapphire Crystal + 450 = 3200.
  • Old Recipe: B. F. Sword + Caulfield's Warhammer + Cloak of Agility + 200 = 3400.
• New Effects:
  • Stats: +70 attack damage, +20% cooldown reduction, and +300 mana.
  • Unique Passive: Basic attacks refund 1% of missing mana on-hit.
  • Unique Passive: After casting your ultimate, your next basic attack within 10 seconds grants Essence Flare for 8 seconds (30 second cooldown).
  • Essence Flare: Gain 30% bonus attack speed, and basic attacks refund 20% of your remaining non-ultimate cooldowns.
• Old Effects:
  • Stats: +70 attack damage and +20% critical strike chance.
  • Unique Passive: +10% cooldown reduction.
  • Unique Passive: Gain additional cooldown reduction. This bonus does not include the critical strike chance given by this item.
  • Unique Passive: Critical strikes restore 3% of your maximum mana.
