Dragon World is a series of alternate future/universe skins in League of Legends. Set in a world where dragons roam free, each champion is either allied with the Dragons or against them.

Lore[]

Twice did dragonfire consume the world. Twice from the embers were heroes.

Dragon Slayers

Dragonslayer Braum
Chromas: Amethyst, Catseye, Emerald, Fan Pass, LCS, LEC, LPL, Obsidian, Pearl, Sandstone
Dragonslayers first rose to battle their ancient foes hundreds of years ago, and after their victory, the land fell into a long, forgetful peace. When the dragons returned, most of the ancient warriors had passed away, leaving Braum to take up their task with only his mighty shield to defend the innocent.
Dragonslayer Diana
Chromas: Citrine, Emerald, Obsidian, Pearl, Ruby, Sapphire
Legends tell of a special breed of dragons ravaging the countryside who can hide under the veil of nightshade. While other dragonslayers may think twice about challenging such dangerous foes, Diana dives in head first—her blade and armor forged from the very remains of these ghastly draconic beasts.
Dragonslayer Jarvan IV
All are accepted into the ranks of the dragonslayers, from the lowliest peasant to the mightiest king, for dragons would devour all equally. Jarvan IV willingly gave up the throne to join his doomed countrymen and stand against the fury of monsters reborn.
Dragonslayer Kayle
Chromas: Citrine, Emerald, Obsidian, Pearl, Rose Quartz, Ruby, Sapphire, Tanzanite
A famous dragonslayer who vanished into the distant mountains, obsessed with destroying the dragon lineage utterly. Many years later she has returned, so changed by the carnage that she has begun to resemble a dragon herself.
Dragonslayer Olaf
Chromas: Amethyst, Citrine, Emerald, Meteorite, Obsidian, Pearl, Ruby, Sapphire
A savage berserker from the hinterlands, Olaf sought a warrior's death in slaying dragons. One by one, the horrid beasts fell to his axe, and rumors even tell of him consuming the heart of a dragon he beheaded. Truth is, this act has only fanned the fire of his rage, driving him to bring about the end of dragons.
Dragonslayer Pantheon
Chromas: Amethyst, Catseye, Emerald, Obsidian, Pearl, Ruby, Sandstone
When dragon fire consumed the world, heroes rose from the embers and cast down the beasts of legend. These warriors passed into history, then myth… until Pantheon alone remained, the last of the ancient dragonslayers, swearing upon the skies eternal revenge.

The king of a clan of giant trolls, Trundle is a revered dragonslayer. Blessed with the ability to command the raw power of mountain ice, he defends his realm from death and destruction. Over the ages, surviving trolls have looked up to him as their fearsome leader in this world torn asunder by dragon fire.
Dragonslayer Vayne
Chromas: Green, Red, Silver
Many heeded the call of the dragonslayers as they mustered their forces, from common cutpurses to fabled monster hunters. Vayne was one such legendary recruit—for what is a dragon, if not the deadliest beast of all?

Dragonslayer Xin Zhao
Chromas: Amethyst, Catseye, Emerald, Obsidian, Ruby, Sandstone
The sorceress called a great mountain her home, and from it, reborn dragons poured endlessly into the sky. Though dragonslayers fell all around him, Xin Zhao struck into the monster's lair, determined to end her evil once and for all.

Dragon Trainers

Dragon Trainer Heimerdinger
Dragon training, to the few who understand it, seems to be the sole domain of yordles. Heimerdinger has long believed that dragons and humankind can peacefully coexist, citing centuries of his own successful research. His current dragon hatchling, Pythagoras, holds no opinion on the subject.
Dragon Trainer Lulu
Chromas: Obsidian, Pearl, Rose Quartz, Ruby, Turquoise
Dragons, though feared, are still living things and can be befriended under the right circumstances. Lulu enthralled her small friend with whimsical magic... becoming the first ever dragon trainer.
Dragon Trainer Tristana
Chromas: Emerald, Obsidian, Rainbow, Rose Quartz, Ruby, Sapphire
As the dragonslayers fought a bitter war with their nemeses, Tristana was busy with a draconic matter of her own. Deep in the wooded forests, away from the battles, she busily trained a young dragon—a trying task rewarded with lifelong friendship.

Dragon Masters

Dragon Knight Mordekaiser
The ancient dragons first rose to the call of Mordekaiser, the self-proclaimed Dragon Knight. Through his evil, the world was ravaged by flame, until a newly-formed order of Dragonslayers finally defeated him. His story would become rumor, then myth, then legend… at least, for now.
Dragon Master Swain
Chromas: Emerald, Obsidian, Pearl, Ruby, Sapphire, Tanzanite
Seeking to turn the very essence of dragons against them, the great Dragonslayer Swain battled beneath the earth for the souls of ancient, long-dead wyrms. In his hubris, he was consumed by their power, emerging a corrupted thrall of the monsters he once swore to destroy.
Dragon Oracle Udyr
Every dragon that dies leaves behind a blazing spirit. Through Udyr, a mystic who doubted the old tales, these dragon spirits have the chance to touch life once again. He believes that dragons are only as evil as those who command them and, in channeling the spirits and their flames, seeks to prove it to the slayers.
Dragon Sorceress Zyra
Survivors of recent monster attacks tell stories of serpents in the sky and a powerful sorceress nesting deep in the mountains. If the rumors are true, it means the dragons have returned—and that this time, Zyra is breeding them.

Dragons

Dragon Guardian Galio
Chromas: Amethyst, Citrine, Emerald, Obsidian, Pearl, Rose Quartz, Ruby, Sapphire
A great dragon of old, who protected dragonkind's ancestral nesting grounds from those who might do it harm. Tricked by the mad knight Kayle so she could destroy every clutch of eggs under his charge, he has followed her back to human society, so he might exact his vengeance personally.
Dragonslayer Twitch
Chromas: Citrine, Emerald, Obsidian, Pearl, Rose Quartz, Ruby, Sapphire, Tanzanite
A lesser dragon who has learned to blend in among humans… poorly. Twitch worships the true dragons and plans to one day become one himself, though he isn't sure how just yet.

History[]

Rise of the Dragonslayers[]

They arrived at sundown. Five of them. The attack was methodical, brutal. The keep's defenses were useless. For an hour, the sky rained fire.

There aren't enough survivors to tally our losses.

Before we fled, I examined a section of the south wall, liquefied by the dragon's breath. No stone could have withstood that heat. Could anything?

I had never witnessed a dragon before today. Now, I see nothing else.

The dragons didn't want the city. They wanted us.

We fled through the melted stonework, but an old one hunted us. When all seemed lost, two extraordinary men came to our defense. Their valor bought us time to escape, but even they could not leave unscathed.

If men like these cannot defeat these beasts, we are truly lost.

The dragon tracked us down.

This time, the heroes were prepared. One distracted the beast while the other waited high above. From a cliff's edge, he dove upon the creature. His spear was true.

We studied the thing hoping to find a weakness. Instead, we took its strength. The scales are more resilient than any material I have ever known. They remain cool even when put directly to the flame.

With its hide, I will armor our heroes.

We may now stand a chance, but to wage a war, we will need more scales. And those with the courage to wear them.

Rise of the Dragons[]

THE FIRST SIGNS WERE SMALL.

A few sheep disappeared; a mountain hermit found dead, his shack burned to the ground.

Then the survivors arrived, carrying what little they had left. They told stories of serpents in the sky and a powerful Sorceress nested deep in the mountains.

The dragons rose again, and the dragonslayers returned once more to the field.

They fought as bravely as before, but this time the dragons never stopped coming.^[2]

Dragonslayer Kayle's loading screen borders could be purchased through 35 Wild Stars in the Wild Pass Emporium. Ths border can still be achievable through certain Wild Pass Emporium.

Trivia[]

The Trainer theme may have been inspired by the "How to Train Your Dragon" franchise.
- Each champion in this skin series has a main dragon.
  - Dragon Trainer Lulu has Pix as a small dragon. In addition, she can polymorph enemies into dragons.
  - Dragon Trainer Tristana's dragon companion is named Riggle.
  - Dragon Trainer Heimerdinger's main dragon, Pythagoras, sits on his head. He has other dragons too. The little guys are named Turret Jr. And the big dragons are named Bitey.
    - The study of dragons are called "Dragonology", and ▶️ "Training is a pinnacle of modern dragonology."
    - Pythagoras species seems to be the dragon queen, known with many names: "Queen of the monsters", "Queen under the mountain".
      - Pythagoras wants to reclaim her titles. However, Heimerdinger thinks they are excessive.
Twice did dragonfire consume the world. Twice from the embers were heroes. The dragons came in two waves.
- Wave 1:
  - The ancient dragons are called by Dragon Knight Mordekaiser. The world was ravaged by flame.
  - "Rise of the Dragonslayers" event happened. Five dragons attacked a city. Dragonslayer Pantheon protected the people and killed a dragon, which granted him the title the first Dragonslayer.
    - From that day, people started to study about dragons (dragonology) and learn to use the scales as armor. The courage warriors are born, called themselves the Dragonslayers.
  - The Dragonslayers defeated Dragon Knight Mordekaiser.
- Wave 2:
  - Hundreds of years passed. Most of the ancient Dragonslayers passedaway. Only Dragonslayer Pantheon remains.
  - Dragon Sorceress Zyra is the leader of the second wave of dragons.
  - "Rise of the Dragons" event happens. Dragon Sorceress Zyra bred the dragon deep in the mountains.
  - King Jarvan IV gave up the throne. The new generation of Dragonslayers are born to stand against the dragons.
  - Dragonslayer Xin Zhao strucked Zyra lair, stopped her and destroyed the eggs.
  - Dragonslayer Xin Zhao, Dragonslayer Vayne, Dragonslayer Braum, and Dragonslayer Jarvan IV are part of the second wave of Dragonslayers.
  - Dragon Master Swain was corrupted and enthralled by the dragons he sought to destroy.
  - Dragon Trainer Heimerdinger, Dragon Trainer Tristana, and Dragon Trainer Lulu are dragon trainers attempting to make friends of the dragons.^[3]
