- Diana is voiced by Nicole Oliver in both
League of Legends and Legends of Runeterra.[1][2] She also voices Winterblessed Diana. - Diana was heavily modelled after Lady Gaga, specifically this snip from the Alejandro video.[3]
- Before the original animator who was going to work with Diana's development team switched over to another project, they had planned to make Diana's dance this part of the Alejandro video's choreography.[4]
- She was conceived as Leona's polar opposite from day one.
- Her weapon is based on both a Shotel and a Khopesh.
- Diana's theme is sung by Lisa 'Saiyaka' Thorn, who created Crescent Strike's targeting indicator.
- During development, Diana was conceived to be a lesbian as a challenge to orthodoxy of the Solari.[5][6]
- Moonfall was conceived as Diana's ultimate. It had a channel time, dealt true damage, and was powered by a resource called 'Scorn'. It was replaced by Lunar Rush due to being deemed toxic and almost uncounterable.

- While the idea of Diana being a lesbian was noted through her release, Riot confirmed her as being part of the LGBTQIA+ community with the release of Rise With Me alongside Leona in June of 2021.
- Although Neeko is the first Champion to be confirmed LGBTQIA+ on release, Diana is technically the first in terms of release date.
- This was further confirmed in the Pride event of 2023, where Leona and Diana are among the other confirmed LGBTQIA+ Champions.
