Corrupted is a series of alternate future/universe skins in Legends of Runeterra, set in an alternate timeline where champions are corrupted by the Darkin.

  "People of Shurima--my people! I have been granted power beyond your imagining. A power beyond the strength of the Ascended."
  "The Sun Disc is a symbol of the past. Its golden light has faded; its shining surface overtaken by rust. I will destroy it and make it anew! I will lead us into a new era!"
  "SHURIMA! YOU ARE MINE TO COMMAND! SURRENDER YOURSELF TO ME--TOGETHER, WE WILL LIVE FOREVER!"
  "BOW TO YOUR ONLY TRUE EMPEROR! SERVE HIM FOR ETERNITY!" - Corrupted Azir
  Though his sand soldiers' warped forms were a clear indicator of Azir's descent into madness, the emperor could no longer see how far he'd gone. Xolaani had conquered him, completely and irreversibly.
  What springs forth from the deser't sands is a reflection of its emperor's mind--mindless violence, desperate and crumbling.

  As Nasus' mind declined, he clung to his strongest memory--that of his brother, Renekton, urging Nasus to sacrifice him.
  What kind of brother would force such a choice? Centuries of guilt, regret, torment... no brother would do such a thing, Nasus thought over and over again. It was the only thought left to him. No brother of his. No brother.
  No. Nasus had no brother. Renekton would die, and then Nasus would know peace again.

  Renekton's memories had abandoned him long before he finally emerged from the darkness of the tomb. Inside the prison, Xerath had poisoned his mind with cruel whispers--and when freed, Xolaani's influence simply cemented conviction in his singular goal.
  His brother had betrayed him. His emperor abandoned him. All of Shurima had left him to rot for centuries upon centuries. No one and nothing deserved to live. With reckless abandon, he would destroy everything...

  To Xerath, Shurima had never truly been home. He had been bound, humiliated--desperate to prove his worthiness to those who refused to see it.
  With Xolaani's unconditional love coursing through his nebulous being, his strength was unfettered at last.
  Never again would he serve as an inferior. Shurima would be bound to him forevermore, and remade in his unbridled image.

  Even as the peaks crumbled around him, Taric could only watch on in detached horror. With each passing moment, he felt his mind slip away; pulled further and further into oblivion by Xolaani's smothering hold.
  In time, nothing remained of what Taric once was. Yet, despite Xolaani's absolute control, she could not seem to stop the great stream of tears pouring endlessly down his cheeks.
