Flavour
For centuries, the demon Camphor stalked the lands of Targon, pulling from her victims the very strengths that defined them. From the mighty, she would take strength; from the wise, wisdom. But she had no interest in these boons. Instead, she feasted on the suffering, doubt, and misery she inflicted. Camphor was a monster in every sense of the word.

Lore

For centuries, a darkness lurked in the shadows of Targon, following the brave souls who sought to conquer the great mountain. As climbers failed, as they despaired and then perished, the darkness reveled in their misery, feasting on tears and heartbreak.

Misery built this darkness in pieces--a voice, then a body, then a name--Camphor. Adorned with the despairing faces of those who gave her substance, she feasted freely. Each fallen pilgrim sharpened her mastery of despair, until she met her greatest challenge.
