The Brawler trait represents champions that can take a beating as well as give one back. These champions naturally have high health, and the synergy emphasizes that further.

Strategy[]

  • Brawler synergy is very similar to the Shapeshifter Shapeshifter synergy. Comparing both synergies at their peak:
    • Brawlers have a clear advantage when the champion has less than 900 health, all 1 Star brawlers are below this amount of health without any items, except for Cho'Gath Cho'Gath.Shapeshifters Shapeshifters get the health advantage when above 900 health, all 2 Star shapeshifters go above this amount of health without any help from items.
    • Brawlers have an advantage against teams that win in a short amount of time or can delay the mana gain from Shapeshifters Shapeshifters, like the Gunslinger Gunslinger, Assassin Assassin, and Demon Demon traits. This is because Shapeshifters Shapeshifters must wait to activate their health bonus until they transform.

Items[]

  • Defensive items help brawlers use their health to the fullest. Thornmail Thornmail, Dragon's Claw Dragon's Claw are the best examples, but almost any defensive item works.
  • Titanic Hydra Titanic Hydra can utilize the extra health a brawler gains for damage.
  • Most of the Brawlers have disruption effects, chaining these special abilities together can pin down a unit indefinitely. so Tear of the Goddess Tear of the Goddess items are beneficial, if no better target is available.
  • Warmog's Armor Warmog's Armor is good for brawlers, as well as any champ with high health.
  • Having all Brawlers also gives the Void TFT bronze icon 2 Void units synergy.

Counters[]

  • Giant Slayer Giant Slayer is an obvious pick to use against not only Brawlers, but for any champion with high health.
  • Brawlers love to use their massive health pool to draw aggro to them to let their backline take out their enemies. Assassins Assassins or Youmuu's Ghostblade Youmuu's Ghostblade jump behind the frontline brawlers to wreak havoc on their backline.
  • Quicksilver Quicksilver and Trap Claw Trap Claw can help ignore the crowd control special abilities in a majority of the brawlers.
