Strategy

• Boots of Speed can be used as a starter item (along with Health Potions) on every champion, especially those who require high mobility. However, since the item does not give defensive or offensive stats, you must take extra care with enemy champions.
• Many advanced players take boots as a starting item for mid lane to dodge enemy skillshots.

Trivia

• Boots of Speed (alongside with Slightly Magical Boots) are the only basic items which increases your movement speed.
• While playing Nami, one can bring up Boots of Speed in the shop by searching for "Hat".
• Cassiopeia is the only champion that can't buy boots.
• The old stat icon for movement speed was an edited version of the icon of Boots of Speed.
