The only acceptable and truly unfortunate reason to leave a game is if your internet crashes. It happens without any warning, and there's often nothing you can do about it. However, it's not common enough to get you a ban, and if it is, then you have some kind of router problem.

I just left a bot game after playing hec. I very politely asked for assistance with wolves and a leash at the blue and both teammates fully ignored me. With my Jungling attempt (I'm learning) clearly borked, I felt like I'd pretty much wasted any chance of getting even basic experience with jungling. I left while cheerfully thanking them for all their help. There's occasions where I think leaving is probably not the rudest thing you can do to a team full of complete knob jockeys.

But I'm pretty sure this is a troll, and I think, in spite of having left my first game ever, that the leaver buster is still perfectly reasonable.

The thing is that the leaver buster doesn't take into account that things happen in real unexpectingly. Like the example stated above, if you gotta go, you gotta go. But besides that incidents happen. The fact is that alot of the people who play league of legends play a few games in one sitting. As we all know these games take time, and the longer you play league of legends the more likely an interruption will occur. I am currently banned for 3 days because i have had several incoviences in the last few days regarding the spottiness of my internet connection and personal issues (like a pipe bursting and water everywhere). After dealing with those issues and such i was able to join back into the game and continue on with playing aiding my team in winning. Yet i still recieve this unfortunate ban.

The thing about the leavebuster system is it doesn't account for real life occurences. Like the first comment stated above,in summary, if you gotta go you gotta go. But besides that people have jobs and uphold certain responsibilites so interruptions are likely to occur. Usually when a player sits down to play he/she has a goal to play a couple to a handful of games. As we know these games take time. As play time increases the chance of interruptions also increases. Currently I have a three day ban, the reason was not because im a rage quitter or anything to that nature. I had a few issues regarding internet connectivity and few personal issues (like a pipe bursting and water everywhere!). In the games that I went idle(>5min) or got disconnected I was able to return and aid my team in victory. Following the game i recieved the ban. Now if a force that is outside my control interfered and interrupted me,  I am going to get penalized? I dont see how thats fair. Honestly I think roit was very linear on thier thought process. Things happen in real life that are more important than a video game (unfortunately). I dont find it fair that their is a ban based on leaving or idling in a game. These things come up, me and any other player shouldn't get penalized for that. I can completely understand this concept in Ranked, but Normal PvP and Bot matches I think the restrictions should be more lax or somthing.

honestly i hate leaverbuster beacause my game always crashes and i tried contacting support and they havent replied so my game wont stop crashing and what do get? i almost got a permenant ban because the game constantly crashes so i think leaver buster is terrible.

I got banned for leaving, I blame the server, I won't leave a game if the server isn't crappy, everybody was reconnecting every 3 seconds, I tried reconnecting but says game crashes. At first i thought it was my internet so i restarted it. Nothing Changed, reported it, no reply. I love the game, but it's flaw is leaverbuster
