Rammus. - Joe Zieja voices both Blitz and Crank for Space Groove Blitz & Crank.[1]. Zieja also voiced Gun Goddess Miss Fortune's EXO and 3 Slotbot, 4 Mystifying Magician and 5 Razorscale Hunter in Legends of Runeterra.
- Blitzcrank's Japanese voice actor is Yutaka Aoyama, who also provides the Japanese voiceovers for Jayce, Kog'Maw and Singed.[2]

- German Blitz "lightning" < PG adjective *blaikaz < PIE root *bʰel- "to shine"[3]
- English crank < PG adjective *krankaz "bent, crooked" < PG verb *kringanan < PIE root *ger- "to turn, to wind, to curl".[4]
- This adjective became a noun for "[a] handle for turning a revolving axis" since Middle English, from Old English crancstæf "crankstaff".[5]
Universe

- Originally, Blitzcrank was referred to with He/Him pronouns in the lore. In the V9.22 revision of the biography, the pronouns switched from It to They/Them when Blitzcrank gains sentience, meaning Blitzcrank is non-binary.
- In Runeterra Legacy, Blitzcrank used to run a dating service called 'Blitzcrank's Fleshling Compatibility Services'.
- Blitzcrank's lore is seemingly based on The Bicentennial Man by Isaac Asimov.
- Blitzcrank has a loving fascination for Poros, going so far as to protect them from dangerous predators.[6]
League of Legends

- While initially referred to using He/Him pronouns, Blitzcrank's most recent lore update updated pronouns to They/Them.
- Ingame and spell descriptions still refer to Blitzcrank using He/Him pronouns.
- Concept art for a champion codenamed Iron Engineer was likely incorporated into Blitzcrank.
- Their dance references the Macarena dance.
- A side-by-side comparison can be seen here.
- Blitzcrank has been jokingly referred to as a girl by Tom 'Zileas' Cadwell.[7]
- They resemble Zog from the 2009 Astro Boy movie.
- Blitzcrank's feet resemble that of a duck's, due to Riot's love of ducks.
- Blitzcrank and Amumu were planned to have Sewn Chaos skins, but both were cancelled for failing to meet Riot's quality standards.
- They may return in the future.
- Rocket Grab's old icon is reused for the Teamfight Tactics item Rocket-Propelled Fist.
- In V12.20, a change was added to where Power Fist would occasionally knock up non-champion targets it killed "to the moon".[8]

- ▶️ "Exterminate. Exterminate." references the Dalek from Doctor Who, as well as the stereotype of evil robots in film saying these words.
- ▶️ "A rolling golem gathers no rust." references the adage "A rolling stone gathers no moss".
- ▶️ "The magic calls to me." is nearly identical to ▶️ "The magic, it calls to me!"
- There is one dedicated line (▶️ "Magic and steam guide me.") that appears to have been scrapped from the Classic voiceover.
- The dialogue personalities of both cats, Blitz & Crank, closely resemble Pinky & Brain from Animaniacs series, respectively.

- They resemble EVE from WALL-E movie.
- They can be seen in Program Lissandra's splash art. That means they are a product of the program skins series.
- This skin shares the Riot theme with:
- Riot Graves can be seen in the background.
- Along with the other Riot skins, they are obtainable by either meeting a Rioter, attending an official Riot event or through purchase in the store during events in the year of release.[10]
- For them in particular, they were only obtainable in 2013 events.
- Mana Barrier is shielding them from Lucian's shots while they have their Power Fist ready.
