Physiology[]
Bawkatrices are small flightless birds. They have white feathers on their head and neck, brown on their torso, and long green (radiating to red) feathers going from their tail tip. They also have a sharp and a spiky tongue.
Culture[]
They are a noble, steadfast mount, but can't tolerate too much stress and will attempt to flee. Thus they are chosen due to their appearance rather than their usefulness in combat. A notable Bawkatrice is Bawky, which belongs to 
3 Pompous Cavalier.
Trivia[]
- Bawkatrice were loosely based on Cockatrice (including their name), a mythical beast with a draconic body and rooster head.
