• Karma is voiced by Danielle McRae.
• All of Karma's abilities have both an offensive and a defensive component, accentuating the Template:W of her character.
  • Her black and white robes display this as well, possessing a black and white side.
• Karma was the first champion to feature an art spotlight even before her official arrival.
• The name Karma, and the title, "The Enlightened One" is related to the Template:W, which is Sanskrit for "enlightened one." The doctrine of Template:W, the effects good or bad actions have on a person, is prominent in Buddhist, Hindu, Jain and Sikh beliefs.
• Karma is the only champion whose three main abilities have six ranks.
• According to the voice actress, she fused accents of Storm from Template:W and Gaia from Template:W to create Karma's voice.
• Karma is the second champion after Template:Ci to lack an upgradable ultimate skill. Unlike Template:Ci, Karma is still in possession of an ultimate skill, although it cannot be activated directly.
• Karma's passive is a rework of Template:Ci old passive, Template:Ai.
• Karma is possibly based off Indian backgrounds because her ultimate Mantra is also a naturally occuring force that means "creation of the mind", in the Indian beliefs. Also her name "Karma" literally means "what goes around comes around" (similar to Yin and Yang in Chinese) in Indian language.

• Karma's quotes,"An enlightened decision," "Onward always", "To conquer oneself is to conquer all", "Peace begins within" and "I interrupted my meditation for this?" all have connection to Buddhist beliefs.
• Karma's joke "Guess what's about to hit the fan" is a reference to the saying "the sh*t hits the fan"; it means that something is about to change radically, like a situation escalating. This has a 30% chance of having her say it in-game

• Classic Karma has the Ionian crest in the background.
• Karma is the second Ionian female who's clothing includes a large metallic cicular decoration behind her head, which indicates that such an adornment is a cultural clothing style native to Ionia.
  • The floating object behind her head is the "Mantle of Decorum", which is Ionia's highest decoration.
    • Template:Ci floating mantle behind her is also a Mantle of Decorum.
• Sakura Karma depicts her in a Japanese Template:W theme.
  • In Japanese, sakura means Template:W; an omen of good fortune and emblem of love.
  • The symbol repeated on her fan is the Template:W, which represents cultural peace.
