So, the original thread (which can be found
here) went a little crazy but gave important feedback in that there are some serious concerns, doubts, questions, feedback, etc. regarding the project beyond whether or not it should be added to the wiki. Subjective information vs objective information, what exactly does slow and cumbersome really mean, am I really being condescending, and other such tribulations were brought up, enough so that I feel as though the project needs a more in-depth discussion that tackles more than just "can we slap this on the wiki."

You can read about the proposed project either in the previous thread that I linked earlier in this post or at KHO's blog (
User blog:Kind-Hearted-One/Champion Descriptions: Let's do this. General idea is the addition of short, fanmade champion bios made from objective™ information to give readers an idea of the champion's overall playstyle/fantasy. Currently the idea from KHO and crew is that these bios would be found on the main champion page and act as something more focused on helping newer players understand the champions better than they would be able to by just looking at the the independent skills.

My opinion on the matter, as I posted in the last thread, is that this kind of thing doesn't really fit on the main page (in terms of the direction we've taken the page over the years) and would instead fit better on the strategy pages, where somewhat subjective information can be placed more freely and where different "bios" could be placed depending on role/build if needed (like damage lee being about using his mobility to get to the enemy back line and quickly take out a squishy whereas tank lee is about using his mobility to get in range of his area of effect crowd control to set up kills for his allies).

I will state this now: this is a discussion about the project so keep your posts relevant to the project at hand and in accordance with our discussion policies (no attacking other users, no flamebaiting, etc). If you are seen to be disruptive to the discussion I will delete your posts and bar you from contributing further. I'm keeping the other thread open for now so that any long-burning flames can be settled there instead of transferring over here.
