@Modernality wat
What @Shurpikov said. We had a discussion in the Discord server with the Wiki manager about best practice and ways to improve the Wiki.
@OrionOsiris1981 Actually, it's simpler than that - for example, https://leagueoflegends.fandom.com/wiki/Janna still redirects to her League of Legends page, as it's what people use most
Plus, I think we've made it pretty obvious how to and easy to access info for the character for the game you want
Part of what we're trying to work out is how we can best handle such things. If there's any specific place where it's a mess, I'd love to hear about it. Most Wiki discussion and decisions happen on the Discord server, by the way!
Hey! We decided that we would cover the whole League of Legends IP, and all games in it (Hence Valorant being covered by [valorant.fandom.com]). However, the name League of Legends Wiki is what we're known by, it's the name people trust and recognise for anything in the IP. [Runeterra.fandom.com] (as in the world of the League IP) also redirects to our Wiki now. This decision also means that references between games are easier to link to, and it's easier to maintain consistency for such things, and keep our editorbase centralised, since there's a massive overlap between the base for games. Additionally, League of Legends is still the main property that everything is derivative of, it's the most popular one, and it's good for search results. There is the unfortunate consequence of people maybe not finding us initially for other Riot games, but we're established enough that we show up near-first in search results, so that is not really an issue.
We already have held lore-related information for ages, before the S was put in Riot Games, which had already established this purpose for us.
Sorry that this was incredibly rambly, but I hope I got the point and community decision across well.
What Emptylord said. There's no reason to delete them completely, there's an indication that they're deprecated.
It'd be nice werwar but there's not much that can be done about it, they were put there by Wikia staff and for some reason they won't allow for them to be removed, and it's annoying because other than that and the terrible Wikia mobile site which is again out of our control this is a great wiki But this isn't really related to Champion Strategy pages. Perhaps create a new thread if you wish to discuss it further.
At some point I could probably make a bot to automate the sets but I've been quite busy as of late
I've really warmed up to this. I love this template so much, it's so much nicer.
I did like the old one, it looked really pretty, but so does this, and it's a nicer way to present stats and other things, especially with the first tab becoming the 'Classic' one rather than 'Abilities'. And I love the addition of these parts, the 'Last Checked' and concise presentation makes the recommended items section work imo, and the unit radius thing was something I was wondering if was even available, I really wanted to know that. I wish things like this were more easily visible in game, and if you don't want to know them, they're concise and compact. And they definitely should be there, this is supposed to be the definitive summary of the champion's characteristics, if anything they should be here.
It's also nice to have map-specific differences made way more clear and presented in a nicer-looking way.
And the devs actually communicate, that's something I love.
Goddamn these are all so negative, I think it's a well-designed and fun game.
Quit. This is the gambler's fallacy and it's not healthy. It's only gonna end up worse for you if you don't want to play.
