Do you think Sona is a good support?
At the moment, Sona is an “okay” support. She has good features such as low cooldown lane poke, low cooldown utility spells, and area of effect shielding. She defines late game team compositions with her auras.
There are quite a few issues with Sona as well though. She has a weak early game against champions that outpoke and out-sustain her, or heavily engage her; such as Nami and Alistar. Her high mana costs mean she has to debate on poking or healing as to not run out of mana. Not to mention her presence in professional play as a pseudo-ad carry has gotten her quite a few damage and utility nerfs.
However, when you can bypass lane phase, survive through mid-game, and get a few items stocked in your inventory; Sona has a monstrous teamfight capability.
With a build consistent of Ardent Censor, Redemption and Locket you can keep your team alive forever.
And with a build of Ability Power, with Seraphs and Lich Bane you can demolish enemies yourself.
So in conclusion, Sona is an okay pick with ups and downs. Good luck with her.
Glacial augment is so good with her. I build lich bane and ardent censer on her, that Q then empowered auto attack with your power chord really takes a chunk of enemy's health bar. I don't do a "support build" with her, I turn her to a Warlock 😂. But is more effective in my opinion, you do more damage and healing. She's squishy but at least you wont go down without putting up a fight unlike regular support build sona. Don't get me wrong, my gameplay's still support, only my build with her is different. I just do a lot of insane pokes with Q and let my adc clean them up.
